WHAT IS THE LAB MAG?

The Lab Mag brings original experiences to curious minds. We create events, discover music, make films and publish magazines. Our collectible biannual print editions are made with the utmost care and quality, and each one explores a new theme. The Lab Mag celebrates the work of established and emerging artists from around the globe as well as cultural czars, designers, musicians, filmmakers, creators, free thinkers, rebellious spirits and pioneers in contemporary culture. The Lab Mag is a catalyst. A reminder that the world is full of wonder and our reason for being is to keep the flame of curiosity burning.

OUR MANIFESTO

To create original experiences for curious minds. To be bold in our work, to ignite thought and to always inspire those who enter our world. To give a voice of total freedom to the architects of the imagination, a diverse group of artists and technicians. To collaborate with honesty, inventiveness, dignity and grace. To hold a true purpose and to never be self serving. To create a physical embodiment of the laboratory. To build a community of like minds. To support artists who need a forum to experiment, exhibit and share their vision. Through our collaborations we seek to provoke, amuse and improve the world we live in.

The Laboratory has wonderful partnerships and believes in the power of collaboration.

WHERE IN THE WORLD?

Although we are an international collective operating across the globe, our current home is a multifunctional space in the heart of Hollywood, located in the famous Crossroads of the World. The Lab Mag is housed in the former studio of The Millinery Guild, where Montez created astonishing hats for celebrities and fashionistas.

The Laboratory Studio is a space where our friends and creative partners gather to share ideas and work together. We host a variety of events, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, pop up shops, dinners, photo shoots, interviews and make magic for our members. And check out our stockists page.

The Laboratory Gallery otherwise known as The Smallest Gallery in the World is literally 100 feet away from our studio. A window into our universe showcasing artists work and Laboratory happenings.
