Whilst you are in lockdown, we are upping your online experiences. It’s not often you can be part of a happy ending in life, but Bumi’s journey to take her place in the lineup of HASSAN HAJJAJ’S MY ROCKSTARS EXPERIMENTAL LIVE was just that. She was sadly not able to join us in Los Angeles last year due to a fight for her UK citizenship (which she rightly won) and now we are glad to say, she can travel where-ever she likes and we plan to get her over here one day soon. In the meantime enjoy meeting Bumi sing and watching the Rockstars.

Presented with CAP UCLA, The Ford Theatres & The Laboratory Arts Collective for BRITWEEK

Artist Hassan Hajjaj’s MY ROCKSTARS installation series came alive on stage for the first time at The Ford Theatres LA in October 2019. Styled and designed by Hajjaj, these “Rockstars” bridge the culture gap between now and then, us and them, reflecting a fusion of Moroccan craftsmanship and contemporary performance. With Afrikan Boy, Simo Lagnawi, Marques Toliver, Gail Ann Dorsey and Omar Offendum.

The Ford Theatres and The Laboratory Arts Collective are proud to bring you the ONLINE WORLD PREMIERE of this wonderful concert in full. Special thanks to artist Hassan Hajjaj, co-curator and producer Kamilla Blanche and Olga Garay-English for making this possible.
