JR asks a big question

Can art change war?

Artist JR is known for his large scale works that involve communities. In the Ukraine he used a drone to capture the moment a group of volunteers unfurled a 148 foot (45 meters) portrait of a refugee, five-year-old Valerilia taken by Ukranian photographer Artem Lurchenko.

JR wrote on instagram “When we left the country we realized how the conflict impacts people and how the long lines at the border make it very difficult for women and children who are the ones fleeing. We want to bring help at the different border crossings.”

JR has turned this moment into an NFT to raise funds for refugees as they cross the border.

The minting process of JR’s NFTs is now live  and will be available until March 28, 2022.

If you haven’t purchased an NFT before, this could be a memorable first time, or if you have a vast collection, this is one to add to your wallet and help someone in need.

Refugees around the world require our help. Whether it’s escaping the horrors of war in Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, or anywhere on earth where fighting has erupted and spilled into the daily lives of innocent people.

And if you aren’t a fan of NFTs, there is always Doctors Without Borders, a particular favorite of ours. These brave doctors give help to any human being that needs medical attention.
