Nastplas is an international Artists duo based in Madrid, Spain, formed in 2006 by illustrator Fran R. Learte 'drFranken' and creative director Natalia Molinos 'Na' (together 'Equipo Nastplas').
“To what extent are we willing to intervene in nature to create new forms of life? What are the implications of creating and using synthetic organisms in our natural environment and societies? These questions prompt us to reflect on the limits of our ability to manipulate life and the responsibilities that come with this capability."

Can you talk about your creative process, a day in your life?
Typically, we start our day by immersing ourselves in various sources of inspiration, ranging from nature to technology, from art history to contemporary trends. This helps nourish our creative minds and generate new ideas.
Once we have a concept in mind, we dive into the execution phase. This involves a combination of digital and traditional techniques, as we believe in merging the best of both worlds to achieve our desired aesthetic.

On the other hand, the worst advice we've ever received is to play it safe and settle for the status quo. This advice suggests that we should prioritize fitting in and meeting others' expectations rather than taking risks and pushing the boundaries in our artistic endeavors. It discourages innovation, stifles creativity, and ultimately limits our potential to make a truly meaningful impact with our work. We believe that true artistic skill lies in daring to be different, embracing experimentation, and challenging conventions rather than simply following the crowd.
What motto do you live by?
At NastPlas, our motto is "Create without fear, Inspire without limits."
