Artist
Berlin-based artist Anke Eilergerhard is celebrated worldwide by critics for her unique, often humorous artistic position. Her works, which are presented in numerous museums and international art fairs, expertly balance between the boundaries of concrete sculpture, abstraction, and figurative sculpture. They catch one’s eye due to their bold compositions and their tactilely and colorfully formed surfaces. Her material is highly pigmented polyorganosiloxane (silicone), her trademark a dollop of whipped cream. In 2017, spectacular sculptures that Eilergerhard was commissioned to create by Fendi for the luxury brand’s worldwide flagship stores gained international renown. Her works are included in numerous collections, including those of Fendi LVMH, Rom, Paris; Fidelity Investments, London; Four Seasons, Abu Dhabi; Insiders Technologies Berlin, Kaiserslautern; Arte Al Limite, Santiago de Chile; and The Leinemann Collection, Berlin.
